Uniform
At St Mary’s we are proud of our school uniform and encourage everyone to wear their uniform with pride as a symbol of our community and shared values. School uniform which has the school logo depicted on it can be purchased via Stitch Design and Your School Uniform.
Uniform rules are as follows:

| Winter – green coat, bottle green skirt/pinafore dress, white blouse (no t-shirts or polo shirts), green/white socks, school tie, green cardigan (with school logo) and black shoes or black trainers. (Trainers must be all black including soles, with no logos). Green Winter hats and scarves are permitted. Summer – bottle green and white dress and black shoes or trainers as above. PE kit – white t-shirt, blue shorts, trainers, blue sweatshirt (with school logo) tracksuit bottoms. In the interests of health and safety, long hair MUST be tied back. Hair that is longer than COLLAR LENGTH (girls and boys) must be tied back .No fashion or unusual haircuts and of minimum grade 2 for boys please.
Only green or black hairbands/ribbons are permitted – No other fashion hair accessories.
No jewellery of any kind except watches which can be worn.
Ear-rings should be pierced at the beginning of the Summer holidays to allow time to heal. Children may only wear studs in school which must be removed for PE.
Please note that smart watches or devices eg Fitbits are not allowed in school.
We encourage our children to take responsibility for their belongings, clear labelling helps us to support them with this. All items of clothing brought to school, including bags and drink bottles, must be clearly labelled with the child’s full name. Please ensure that your child knows where to find the label. There are a variety of methods you can use to label uniform/belongings including sharpie pen, laundry pen, personal stickers or stamps and sew-in labels. These are all available online. Please check periodically (eg during holidays) to ensure that the name is still clearly visible.
Pre-loved uniform sales
Our PTA hold regular sales of good quality preloved uniform items. This is a useful way of purchasing uniform items at reasonable prices. It also means that you can have a plentiful supply of uniform as your child grows. Supporting the preloved uniform sales is also a way of protecting our environment, by ensuring that uniform is reused when your child has outgrown it. All money raised goes to the school. Please donate good quality uniform items which your child has outgrown via the school office. Dates for preloved uniform sales will be advertised on our website and via school newsletters.
