October 2020 Update

A big "Thank You!!" to the Class Reps who have volunteered to help us through the year. And a lovely big welcome to our new PTA Secretary, Clare Price Williams. Thank you for volunteering!

Thank you also to all who came to the second-hand uniform sales. We made just on £143. There will be further sales each term / half term. (we have a number of winter coats at present so if you want one let us know!).

There will certainly be a change this year to our usual fundraising activities. However, there is one thing we can all do: sign up to #easyfundraising for St Marys PTA.

It's easy and completely FREE. Over 4,000 shops and sites donate a percentage to us every time you do your online shopping with them - at no extra cost to you.  Since we have been signed up, we have received over £5,000 from the scheme.

Wishing you all a great (long) weekend.

July 2020 Update

On behalf of St Marys PTA, we would like to say a big Thank You to everyone who has supported us this year. To the people who came along to the events. To those who baked/bought cakes at the cake sales, to everyone who donated items for the fair. To the staff at school who were always there to help us. An especially big thank you to the Class Reps who pass out the information to their classes and to all the volunteers. Without volunteers we would not be able to do anything!

Obviously our fundraising activities have been on hold since March, and continue to be for the foreseeable future. These past few weeks have really hammered it home how much the children enjoy and need to be outside and how important it is that they have 'stuff' for them to play with whilst outside. When we are all finally allowed back at school and things have settled down we really want to throw us into getting some play equipment into the playground.

It won't be an easy task fundraising as it will be a lot harder for us to get sponsorship and donations from companies who have seen their businesses suffer due to the current situation. However there is one thing we can all do whilst we are off:

Sign up to #easyfundraising for St Marys PTA! If you haven't signed up yet, it's easy and completely FREE. 4,000 shops and sites will donate to us when you use easyfundraising to do your everyday online shopping - at no extra cost to you! Every donation you raise makes a difference to us so please sign up today.

Finally before we sign off for the year, we have a huge Thank You to Sharon McCoy who has ‘retired’ from the role as PTA Treasurer now that her son has finished his Year 6 at St Mary's. She has been an amazing help to us all. Thanks. And we say a warm welcome to Tracey Haynes who will pick up the role from now.

Have a great summer and be ready to carry on again next year!!!
