Year 1

Welcome to Year 1's class blog

Welcome to Year One!

For the Autumn Term we will be focusing on transitioning the children into the KS1 curriculum and classroom.

You can support this transition at home by

  • Reading daily with your child
  • Encouraging independence with day to day tasks
  • Encouraging independent learning

PE is on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Please have your child's P.E. kit in on Monday and we will send it home again on Wednesday.

Your child will have a designated reading day which is written on the front of their reading diary.

We will try to check the reading diaries daily so if you have any messages then please write them in there and we will  read them. However, if you would like to speak to either Mrs Appleton or Mrs Chiocca directly then please speak to one of us in the  playground or call the school.
